Seriously remember when we were all freaked out he wouldn't sign with Calgary? He wanted to literally set his stick on fire. He is a Flame for life and never leaving us I'm so happy.
UNTIL THE NHL DECIDES TO CHANGE THEIR MIND AGAIN, PROBABLY.
But nah - with Tyler Johnson's injury he should be playing for real now. We can watch again!
No big deal, right? Hey do people still think he's too small?
UPDATE: Or apparently not, for literally no apparent reason: https://twitter.com/reporterchris/status/558753881568849921
Seriously, wtf, NHL?
After going through a traveling nightmare just to get to Calgary after his recall, Joni Ortio has forced Bob Hartley to start him every single game of this crucial, five-game Pacific Division road trip. He starts in Jonas Hiller's old barn tomorrow.
Dennis Wideman scored in overtime on Monday night as the Flames beat the Kings. The goal looked like it went off the crossbar and it took a review to seal the deal, but after the review, Wideman's face was just absolutely perfect.
Thanks to @myregularface for this. Sean Monahan steals the puck, breaks in, and puts it past Jonathan Quick. 1-1 late in the third period.
Courtesy of the amazing @myregularface - the ascension continues for Sean Monahan as he wins it in OT for the Flames. 4-3 over San Jose!
