Is Blasty Coming Back?

If you believe the Twitter machine it sounds like everyone's favourite jersey is back for the 2022-23 season.

Now, everything on the internet (outside of here) should be taken with a grain of salt. Not everything that gets tossed out there is legit info. So, we're going to address a rumour that's been bouncing around Twitter today. A few images of a "new" Blasty jersey have been making the rounds. Now, it's a Matthew Tkachuk version, so how much you want to look into that is up to you as you may have heard, he's no longer with the Calgary Flames. The reported difference is the Adidas logo has moved on the jersey. Is it real? Who knows. It would, however, be great news if the Flames were bringing back Blasty as he was a hit during the 2020-21 season. That year that jersey was used as the Flames Reverse Retro sweater. IF that look comes back, it will be the team's third jersey, not the RR. That means the Flames could potentially have a fourth jersey in 2022-23 as the Reverse Retro. Now, the Flames don't have a ton of other options for a RR jersey. All that's left on the table are the Atlanta Flames look, the Pedestal, the first Heritage Classic (I'm ALL in on this one) or the Rodeo jerseys (bleh).

So, with all that out of the way it sounds as if Blasty could be making a comeback after taking a year off. What are your thoughts? Comment and or vote below!
