The Flames, if they want one, will be in search of a new ECHL team for the 2022-23 season.
The Kansas City Mavericks announced this afternoon that they will become the new affiliate for the Seattle Kraken. Just another thing leaving the Flames this offseason.

The Mavs have been associated with the Calgary Flames since June 8, 2017 when it was announced they would be the Flames ECHL affiliate and work with the Stockton Heat. That all ended today with an announcement by the Mavericks this afternoon that they are joining up with the Kraken and the Bakersfield Condors.
It has yet to be determined who the Flames will have as an ECHL affiliate when the season starts, but we will let you know who it is when that decision is made. Stay tuned, we know you're excited to find out.
