The Flames remodeling continued today as they inked 23 year old forward Ben Jones to a one year, two way contract worth $750,000.

Jones last played for the Vegas Golden Knights in 2022 where he played in two games at the NHL level.

The Waterloo Ontario native spent the majority of his time on the ice in the AHL with the Henderson Silver Knights here he played in 66 games and scored 25 goals, while tallying up 16 assists.

Jones was drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2017 in the 7th Round (189 overall). It's assumed he'll spend most of his time with Calgary's unnamed AHL team that will play at the Saddledome this year. Twitter reaction to the signing was, well, what you'd expect at this point:

Welcome to the offseason. Sigh.
