Add more depth to the mix

As free agency continues on this July Wednesday, the Flames announced 4 more signings as well as officially announcing the terms to the other 4 deals signed earlier in the day.

Colton Poolman and Nick DeSimone rejoin the Heat as depth defencemen on two-way deals, as the Flames look to build a strong affiliate team for their first season in Calgary.

Adding to that depth will be the additions of goaltender Oscar Dansk and forward Clark Bishop, both of whom have seen NHL action.

Dansk made his debut for the Golden Knights during their early goalie crisis in their inaugural season, and played 4 impressive games before he himself was injured. After appearing in just 2 more NHL games over the next 3 seasons with the Knights, Dansk spent last season in the KHL. The 28-year-old replaces fellow Swede Adam Werner as an option for the Heat as the Flames fill their top 4 goaltender positions.

Bishop was a fifth round pick of the Hurricanes in 2014, and has played at least a few NHL games in each of the past 4 seasons split between the Canes and the Senators. He has one goal and seven assists in 47 career games.
