The Calgary Flames have made their second trade of the free agent frenzy, picking up goaltender Daniel Vladar from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 2022 3rd round pick. This is the Flames second move of the day after sending a 3rd to Chicago for Nikita Zadorov.

Vladar will be turning 24 next month and comes to Calgary with just five NHL games under his belt, but a wealth of experience developing through the Bruins farm system after originally being drafted by the club in 2015.

He went 2-2-1 in his five NHL games last year, but also had a .923 in the AHL. His 2019-20 AHL season was particularly impressive, going 14-7-1 with a .936 SV%.

Vladar joins the Flames entering the second year of his three year ELC, where is making the league minimum of $750,000 which provides some nice cap flexibility for the Flames.
