Highlight Of The Night

Calgary Flames 6 - Ottawa Senators 1

Well, the Flames exercised some demons tonight, defeating the Ottawa Senators 6-1. The Flames have had issues scoring goals lately, but tonight they put the pedal to the metal early on and never let up. The Flames would open the scoring at the 10:39 mark when Johnny Gaudreau turn on the afterburners to score his 19th goal of the season. An errant stretch pass would get ahead of the Flames forward, but his speed would send him right to the puck, he would barely collect it before sliding the rubber biscuit past Anton Forsberg, all while falling down and giving the Flames a 1-0 lead. If that beautiful wordsmithing didn’t describe it perfectly, here’s a look at the actual goal.
