The Morning After
Calgary Flames 3 - Toronto Maple Leafs 5
Tidbits
-800 & Counting: John Tavares collected a goal and an assist, but it was his helper on Auston Matthews’ second of the night that got him to point #800 of his career. He’d add to that total with a late third period goal, giving him 801 points for his career so far.
-9 In A Row: Jack Campbell surrendered three goals on the night, but was solid enough to get the win. His ninth straight win ties him for the best mark in Toronto history.
-Back Of The Net: Mikael Backlund broke out of a goal scoring slump (8 in a row without one) with two goals on the evening. This was Backlund’s first multi goal game of the year and gives him two goals and three assists in his last five games.
