Recap - NHL Standings

Tidbits

-Still Hot: Elias Lindholm is about to combust. He scored twice last night in the Flames 3-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers and continued his hot streak. He now has goals in 7 of his last nine games and a point in 12 of his last 15 games.

-Inexplicably: Now, with all of that in mind, would you believe that the multi goal game Lindholm had last night was the first of his 2021 campaign? Well, it was. His two goal performance was the first time he’s lit the lamp more than once in a game this season. His last multi goal game was on February 15th of 2020 in an 8-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

-Edmonton Thorn?: After defeating the Oilers in his first start with the Flames, Jacob Markstrom kind of went into a tail spin, dropping three of his next four starts against Edmonton. Since then he’s won two straight and only surrendered one goal on 48 shots against the Flames provincial rival.
