Flames Trade Sam Bennett to Florida for 2nd Round Pick, Prospect

Calgary moves their highest pick in franchise history

Well, it finally happened. After speculation and trade requests and nothing really working out over his career in Calgary, the Flames have traded Sam Bennett to the Florida Panthers.

Coming back to the Flames is a 2022 2nd Round Pick and RW prospect Emil Heineman who was a 2nd round pick in the 2020 draft. This is a tremendous return in my opinion for the Flames as he value felt pretty shot over the course of this season.

Heineman is currently playing in the SHL and has 13 points in 43 games.

UPDATE**: Capfriendly has the Flames also sending a 2022 6th round pick to Florida as part of this deal and we will try to confirm.
