Well, Johnny Gaudreau was in line for his second straight HOTN with his fantastic vertical leap, pass acceptance and goal......until the Flames got the biggest save of the night. And no, it wasn’t by Jacob Markstrom, it was BECAUSE of Jacob Markstrom. The Flames top keeper had been struggling playing the puck all night long and late in the third period with the score tied 3-3, Markstrom was caught in no man’s land after turning the puck over and couldn’t get back to the crease. Juuso Valimaki came flying from behind the net, launched into a semi-wrestling drop kick move and stacked his legs up and made a beautiful save. The fantastic defensive play allowed the Flames to salvage a point by getting to overtime. Check it out below!!!
