Highlight Of The Night
Calgary Flames 2 - Edmonton Oilers 3
The end result was par for the course for the Flames so far this season: play a solid 20 minutes somewhere during the game, but fall apart late in the game and lose. There were some good take away’s from the game, like the Flames having a lead after the first period on Saturday. Calgary was gifted a PP and they made the Oilers pay for their transgression. After a decent puck battle along the boards Sean Monahan would find Elias Lindholm near the far face off circle and he wasted no time feeding a wide open Johnny Gaudreau in the slot for an absolute snipe to give Calgary a 1-0 lead. The PPG was Gaudreau’s 10th marker on the season, which is tops on the Calgary Flames.
