-First and 22: Congratulations to Ottawa goaltender Filip Gustavsson. The 22 year old started his first even NHL game and stopped 35 of 36 to earn his first ever NHL “W”
-19 And Done: Johnny Gaudreau deposited his 13th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. The goal came during 5 on 5 and it was the first time he’s scored in that scenario in 19 games.
-Drought: Speaking of that Gaudreau goal, it was the first time the Flames scored in over five periods, dating back to Saturday night’s 2-0 shut out at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
