Recap

The Flames continue to be a win-one-lose-one team, and showed that once again in the second half of the Leafs back-to-back matchup. Jack Campbell stopped all 31 shots he faced, as he shut Calgary out in his return to the Leafs roster.

It was a pretty sleepy game when all was said and done. David Rittich played okay, but was beaten on bad angles by Jason Spezza in the first, and Zach Hyman in the second. His post made too many stops as well.

The Flames hardly seemed to be able to generate any pressure the entirety of the game, and the powerplay still looks abyssmally soft. A multitude of penalties hindered Calgary all night and nullified the few instances of pressure they were able to apply.

They’re back at it Monday in Ottawa.
