HOTN: Takin' A Dive

Jacob Markstrom pulled out a game saving stop when the Flames needed one.

Highlight Of The Night

Calgary Flames 4 - Toronto Maple Leafs 3

It seems lately that when the Flames have needed a save, Jacob Markstrom has delivered (save for Wednesday night) and Friday night was no exception. Late in the third period with Toronto on the PP, Markstrom made a HUGE stop to keep the Flames ahead 4-3. As the Leafs were buzzing, Auston Matthews snuck into the slot and found himself wide open. The puck made it’s way to his stick, but so did Jacob Markstrom. The Flames keeper dove cross crease and stopped Matthews on the doorstep, preserving the Flames 4-3 victory.
