The Morning After
-200 Club: Sean Monahan scored twice last night, getting him over the 200 goal plateau for his career. Monahan had been sitting on goal 199 since March 4th, but broke out of a mini slump to score goals 200 & 201.
-Movin’ On Up: Not only did Sean Monahan reach a new career milestone, but he also joined some elite company within the Flames franchise. He is now one of only nine players in franchise history to score 200 goals, five behind Eric Vail for 8th all time with the Flames.
-Draft Leader: And while we’re on the topic of Sean Monahan, he’s also the leading goal scorer from his draft class and the only player to record 200 goals. Nathan MacKinnon is the closest to him with 196 career goals.
