Staff Predictions & Lines: Sam Bennett Is A Healthy Scratch....Buckle Up Gang

Sure, he’s just a healthy scratch <wink>

Staff Predictions

Calgary Flames @ Winnipeg Jets, 6 PM MT

Favorite: Winnipeg Line: -100 O/U: 6.5

Predictions

Mark: Calgary Flames 3 - Winnipeg Jets 1

Something has to give right? They’ll have a solid first period right? Jacob Markstrom will make the difference right? Also, Sam Bennett and his “needs Top 6 minutes” is a healthy scratch tonight. Let the trade speculation begin!!!!!

Maddie: Calgary Flames 2 - Winnipeg Jets 1

These guys again? Bleck. Anyway, I’m feeling optimistic about a bounce-back game for the Flames. Their last loss was a tough one to swallow, but here’s hoping that means the Flames will be extra motivated to right the ship after it. I’m liking the new(ish) look lines, and while I’m not banking on an offensive explosion in this one, I think they’ll be able to do at least a little bit of damage. That’s a start.

Flash: Calgary Flames 6 - Winnipeg Jets 4

Jets have lethal forwards but need powerplays for them to execute. The refs have shown they’re going to manufacture weak calls no matter the team so I expect goals from both sides. Regardless which goalie starts for the Jets the Flames gameplan allows them to get loads of high danger chances. It’s about time some of those go in and the Flames on-ice shooting % regresses upwards towards the mean. Translation: Goals, goals, goals.
