The Morning After
Calgary Flames 2 - Winnipeg Jets 3
Tidbits
-99 & Counting: Matthew Tkachuk played in his 300th NHL game on Saturday and he’s closing in on another career milestone as well. He scored his 98th & 99th goals on Tuesday night putting him one goal away for 100 for his career.
-9 & Counting: Make it nine in a row for Johnny Gaudreau. It looked like the Flames forward was going to make it to nine games in a row with a point by scoring, but his shot hit the crossbar and was knocked in by Matthew Tkachuk. So Gaudreau ended up extending his league leading points streak to nine with an assist.
-First Period Woes Continue: The Flames surrendered three first period goals, putting them in a 3-1 hole at the end of the first period. On the season Calgary has given up 14 goals in nine first periods. For the record, that’s bad.
