The Morning After
Calgary Flames 1 - Edmonton Oilers 2
Tidbits
-Mr. Smith Goes To Calgary: Mike Smith has been a breath of fresh air for the Edmonton Oilers this season as he continued to be a solid backup option last night. The former Flames backup stopped 20 of 21 shots to remain undefeated on the season at 4-0-0.
-Waivers To Points: James Neal was put on waivers last week by the Oilers, much to the delight of Flames fans around the world. Neal cleared waivers, was on the ice last night and had a hand in defeating the Flames. Neal collected an assist on Gaetab Haas’ goal, his first assist since January 24th.
-Revenge Of The Ex Part 3: Want more? Alex Chiasson also hit the score sheet last night as well, getting the secondary assist on the Haas goal. That helper gives him 3 points in last 6 games against his former team.
