Another bad first period put the Flames behind the 8-ball tonight, but Matthew Tkachuk did his part by depositing two goals into the Winnipeg net, but it wasn’t enough to propel the Flames to victory. Tkachuk’s second goal of the night was an exercise in patience and hand-eye coordination. Tkachuk would come in on a breakaway and be stopped by Laurent Brossoit and Johnny Gaudreau would collect the rebound….but hit the crossbar. That’s where the patience portion of this comes in. Tkachuk hung around and was able to knock the puck out of the air, past the sprawling Jets goalie and pull the Flames within one goal at 3-2. Check it out below!
