The Morning After
Calgary Flames 4 - Vancouver Canucks 3 (OT)
Tidbits
-We Have A First: Connor Mackey was ALL over the score sheet last night, but early on it was for sitting in the sin bin. But at the 19:35 mark of the first period he would collect his first NHL point by getting a helper on Milan Lucic’s 4th goal of the season.
-Multi Point: Rasmus Anderson took being moved off the top PP and being moved down to the third pairing to heart. He broke out for a two point night, getting helpers on Milan Lucic and Elias Lindholm’s goals. It’s his first multi point game of the season and first since a two point night on February 27, 2020 in an OT loss to Nashville.
-First Period Woes: The Flames first period woes continued last night as they once again found themselves in a hole after 20 minutes. Calgary has only had the lead in five of the 15 first periods they have played so far this season.
