The Morning After
Calgary Flames 3 - Vancouver Canucks 1
Tidbits
-Almost A Point Per Game: In his 7 years in the NHL, Johnny Gaudreau has played against the Vancouver Canucks 30 times. Last night’s third period goal was his 29th point against the Canucks in 30 career games. His first point ever came in his first game ever when he scored his first goal ever against the Canucks.
-On The Mark: Jacob Markstrom is showing the Canucks that they probably should have kept him around. His 33 save performance last night backstopped the Flames to a 3-1 victory. He’s now 3-0 versus his former team with a .968 Save%, including one of his two shutouts this season.
-Credit Where Credit Is Due: Jay Beagle was in the Canucks lineup and played in his 600th career NHL game last night. The forward broke into the league in 2008-09 with Washington and has 57 goals and 85 assists over that time frame.
