Matthew Tkachuk earned a nice $5000 fine from the NHL, but not for his barking at an official from a bench that earned him an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty. He's 5k lighter in the wallet for a high stick during the Flames 4-3 OT loss to Dallas on Thursday night.
The league levied the highest possible fine for his infraction this afternoon for a stick that got up on John Klingberg.
Wonder if the league will act on the TWO high sticks Johnny Gaudreau took on one play?
Calgary’s Matthew Tkachuk has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for High-sticking Dallas’ John Klingberg.
