The Morning After

Calgary Flames 3 - Dallas Stars 4

NHL Standings - Recap

Tidbits

-A Point Is A Point...Right?: One thing the Flames REALLY struggled with in the past few seasons has been “loser points.” The Flames now have 3 this season with OT losses to Anaheim, Nashville and Dallas. The 4-3 OT loss to the Stars last night assured the Flames would get a point in their 9th straight game this season.

-A First & Drought Breaker: Nikita Zadorov got his first goal as a member of the Calgary Flames last night and also had a helper on Milan Lucic’s first period goal. The multi point effort was his first since February 4th of 2020.

-Dallas Can’t Win...: ....in regulation. The Stars are one of two teams (Coyotes are the other) that don’t have a regulation win and that trend continued last night. They were 3 minutes or so away from their first non overtime/shootout victory, but they gave up the tying goal and had to get their points in extra time.
