The Morning After
Calgary Flames 2 - Montreal Canadiens 4
Tidbits
-Still Streaking!: No, not the losses you masochist, the power play. The Flames pumped in a late PPG, making it the 6th straight game they’ve scored with the man advantage.
-Still Undefeated: In regulation. The Canadiens 4-2 victory meant that they would live another night as one of the NHL’s three teams to not lose in regulation yet in 2021. The other two? Washington (5-0-3) and Dallas (4-0-0).
-Still Perfect: Not a lot of good can be taken from the Flames loss on Thursday night, but the Flames second defensive pairing was good again. The tandem of Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev played another game where they were on the ice and didn’t surrender a 5 on 5 goal. That’s six games, no goals at even strength. That’s good.
