The Morning After Toronto: Stop Scoring For The Other Team

The Flames are putting the puck in the wrong net a lot lately.

The Morning After

Calgary Flames 2 - Toronto Maple Leafs 3

Recap - NHL Standings

Tidbits

-Enough Is Enough: In four starts so far Jacob Markstrom has surrendered seven goals, but a lot of it isn’t his fault. In an unthinkable, weird scenario the last five goals scored by the Flames opposition have all gone off of Flames players and past Markstrom. What gives?

-Gimmie A Break: Another long break, another loss coming out of it. The Flames continued their post break futility with their 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs on Sunday. It’s the fourth straight season (usually after the All Star Break) this has happened and each led to an extended losing streak. Let’s end that trend on Tuesday, OK Flames?

Marner Soaring: Mitch Marner has a small resume when it comes to playing against the Flames, but he’s done very well. His two assists on Sunday gave him 10 points in 9 career games versus Calgary.
