Another week, another major award for Dustin Wolf as he was awarded the CHL Goaltender of the Year Award for the 2019-20 season. Wolf had previously been named the WHL’s top goaltender and the USA Hockey Goaltender of the Year award during the offseason. Wolf is also just the 2nd American goaltender to win the CHL award in the last 32 years.

Wolf led the CHL with a 1.88 GAA and .935 SV% for the Everett Silvertips this year along iwth 9 shutouts. He also had 34 wins in 45 games for the Silvertips which was the highest rate in the WHL. Wolf’s accomplishments are even more impressive considering he played in a heavily stacked US Division featuring the Portland Winterhawks who finished 45-11-7, one point ahead of Everett.

Among some of the most impressive statistics for Wolf is holding the opponent to two goals or fewer in 31 of 45 games. Everett went 29-2 in those games.

Overall it wasn’t a bad year for the 7th round pick from 2019.
