The Flames have to be happy with how some of their prospects have performed during this abbreviated hockey season. First Jakob Pelletier won the Selke Award for his on ice behavior and now one of their top goaltending prospects is bringing home some hardware.
Dustin Wolf was named Goalie Of The Year today in the WHL for his outstanding performance in 2019-20. The 19 year old California native was a remarkable 34-10-2 with a .935 Save% and a 1.88 GAA for the Everett Silvertips this season.
Wolf has had an outstanding minor league career for Everett, playing in 127 games over the last three seasons, winning 88 times and never having a Save% below .928.
The Flames drafted the young phenom with the 214th pick (7th round) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
