NHL 20 SIM: CGY @ NYI Preview + Lines

Calgary goes for their second win in two nights

NHL: Calgary Flames at New York Islanders Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Calgary Flames and New York Islanders will meet tonight in not real-life as they face off in our NHL 20 simulation as they continue along the previous regular season schedule. The Flames are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers yesterday in our series debut. Calgary got goals from Matthew Tkachuk, Sean Monahan, and Andrew Mangiapane in the victory while Cam Talbot picked up the W with 25 saves on 27 shots.

There are a couple minor lineup changes for the Flames today with David Rittich returning to the net, and Austin Czarnik finally getting recalled from Stockton since we’re the GM and we like him. He will be in the lineup and Tobias Rieder will come out.

Here are the Flames projected lines for tonight’s contest:

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Elias Lindholm

Matthew Tkachuk - Mikael Backlund - Andrew Mangiapane

Milan Lucic - Derek Ryan - Dillon Dube

Sam Bennett - Mark Jankowski - Austin Czarnik

Mark Giordano - T.J. Brodie

Erik Gustafsson - Rasmus Andersson

Derek Forbort - Travis Hamonic

David Rittich

Here is the Islanders lineup:

Anders Lee - Matt Barzal - Jordan Eberle

Andrew Ladd - Brock Nelson - Josh Bailey

Anthony Beauvillier - JG Pageau - Leo Komarov

Matt Martin - Derick Brassard - Cal Clutterbuck

Nick Leddy - Ryan Pulock

Devon Toews - Scott Mayfield

Andy Greene - Johnny Boychuk

Our puck drop will be at 5:00 PM ET sharp tonight. Make sure to tune into our Twitter feed for live updates. We are also evaluating options for streaming hopefully by this weekend.
