Flames Acquire Erik Gustafsson from Chicago

Second defenceman acquired on the day

The Calgary Flames have acquired defenceman Erik Gustafsson from the Chicago Blackhawks, in exchange for a third round pick. Gustafsson, 27, played his first full NHL season with the Blackhawks last season, putting up an incredible 60 points in 79 games.

Gustafsson was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 draft by the Edmonton Oilers, but never played for them.

He has 6 goals and 26 points in 59 games this season.
