Consecutive first-round Flames selections Jakob Pelletier and Connor Zary made the 25 player cut for the 2021 Team Canada World Junior team, announced Friday. Both Pelletier (26th overall, 2019) and Zary, (24th overall, 2020) will be making their first appearance for the World Junior team, and will likely both end up slotting in at winger on one of Canada’s starting lines.

The last Flames prospect to suit up for Canada at the WJC was Dillon Dube, who brought home silver in 2017, and captained Canada to gold in 2018.
