While we wait for some sort of earth-shattering and groundbreaking signings by the Flames, we will update you on two players who will not be with Calgary next year . Both Tobias Rieder and Alan Quine are moving on from their times wearing the Flaming C.

Rieder had a decent post season for the Flames, but as a bottom six player he never gained a ton of traction during his tenure in Calgary. In 55 games last season he had four goals and six assists, but he really shined in the playoffs for the Flames. In the Flames 10 playoff games he collected three goals and two assists, which no one saw coming. Today Rieder signed a one year contract worth $700,000 with the Buffalo Sabres.

Alan Quine on the other hand was an interesting addition to the Flames that started out like a house of fire, but was never able to gain the ice time needed to keep any kind of consistency up. The Ontario native appeared in only 22 games with Calgary and collected six points. He did shine however with the Stockton Heat in 2019-29, playing in 38 games, scoring 14 times and snagging 32 helpers. Quine signed with the Edmonton Oilers today for one year and $750,000.
