Changes Are Coming To The Calgary Flames….

……uniforms.

The Flames made the worst kept secret in the NHL official today as the club announced they are going full retro with their uniforms in 2020-21.

The Flames have slowly been phasing in their "retro red" look for a few years now and the reaction has been far north of positive. Fans have been clamouring for the "retro white" to make an appearance and Calgary honoured that request by donning those during last year's Tim Hortons Heritage Classic.

The team sprinkled both sets in during the limited regular season, creating speculation that they would eventually go full retro and that finally happened today.

Calgary last made a major overhaul to their uniforms in 2007-2008 when Reebok gave them the look they wore up until Adidas made some minor tweaks when they took over the NHL's uniform duties a few seasons ago.

It's safe to say most, if not all fans will be happy with switch to their retro sets full time, making any other Flames jersey you own a retro or throwback!

Now they just need to do the right thing and bring Old Blasty back as a third jersey option.
