Calgary Flames Free Agency: Comings & Goings So Far

We decided to compile a list of who the Flames have added and subtracted in a wild three days of NHL Free Agency.

With all of the signings and departures over the last few days we thought it might be nice to put together a list of everything the Flames have done in one place to make your life easier. The Flames added a few big names in Jacob Markstrom and Chris Tanev and really only lost a big name in T.J. Brodie, but that was a foregone conclusion once the season ended. Everything else they added/retained or let walk was replaced with something fairly similar, so you could call it a wash. In the end, this group of signings will solely be judged on the success or failure of Jacob Markstrom and that rather large contract.

So dig in below to see who’s gone where and for what so far during the wild, wild West that is NHL Free Agency!

Comings...

-Jacob Markstrom (G): 6 years, $36 million

-Louis Domingue (G): 1 year (two-way), $700,000

-Chris Tanev (D): 4 year, $18 million

-Buddy Robinson (F): 1 year (one-way), $700,000

-Alex Petrovic (D): 1 year (two-way), $750,000

-Zac Rinaldo (F): 1 year (two-way), $700,000

-Byron Froese (F): 2 year (two-way), $750,000

Goings....

-T.J. Brodie (D): Toronto Maple Leafs, 4 years, $20 million

-Cam Talbot (G): Minnesota Wild, 3 years, $11.5 million

-Mark Jankowski (C): Pittsburgh Penguins, 1 year, $700,000

-Tobias Rieder (F): Buffalo Sabres, 1 year, $700,000

-Alan Quine (C): Edmonton Oilers, 1 year, $750,000

-Jon Gillies (G): St. Louis Blues, 1 year (two-way), $700,000
