Fan Poll Friday: Tkachuk vs Kassian

Is this nonsense finally over?

Fan Poll Friday

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that there was a little bit of tension between the Flames and the Oilers lately. Back on January 11th Matthew Tkachuk took a few runs at Edmonton’s Zack Kassian during a 4-3 Flames win at the Saddledome. Kassian took exception to the hits and proceeded to punch Tkachuk repeatedly and earned himself some time in the box (and a suspension), which led to Elias Lindholm’s GWG.

Fast forward to Wednesday night and it took a bit, but Tkachuk and Kassian dropped the gloves in a less than inspiring tilt. Kassian technically got the best of Tkachuk, but the Flames forward did what everyone outside of the Flames organization wanted him to do: step up and answer the bell.

The Flames ended up winning the game 4-3 in a shootout and the win means they will take the season series from the Oilers. The two teams will meet Saturday night at the Saddledome, but will there be any more fireworks? It seems that unless something is pushed, the shenanigans should be over. With that out of the way we want to know if you’re satisfied with how the Tkachuk/Kassian feud went down? Vote in our poll below!
