Calgary Flames 4 - NY Rangers 3
The Flames were able to snap a two game losing streak by defeating the NY Rangers 4-3 Thursday night. Offence was the name of the game in the first period with both teams combining for five goals on 16 shots. Calgary would get goals from four different players (Gaudreau, Backlund, Ryan and Monahan) and Cam Talbot would stop 24 of 27 to give the Flames their 21st win of the season.
Tidbits
-25 and Counting: The Flames have been getting goals from lots different players as of late, but one person who isn’t scoring is Mark Giordano. The Flames captain has now gone 25 straight games without a goal.
-100: Noah Hanifin collected an assist on Sean Monahan’s second period goal giving him 100 assists for his career.
-Monahan Heating Up: Sean Monahan scored his 14th goal of the season, giving him a goal in four out of the last six games. He also has a point in five of those six.
