The Flames are giving David Rittich the night off and Cam Talbot will man the goal for the Flames as they take on the NY Rangers from the Saddledome.
Rittich has struggled over his last two starts, surrendering seven goals with 6 of them coming in the first period.
This is Talbot's first start since a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild on December 23rd. The Flames back up played very well in that game, stopping 31 of the 33 shots that came his way.
T.J. Brodie will also return to the lineup after sitting out with an illness and Mark Jankowski finds himself a healthy scratch tonight.
