The Morning After
Calgary Flames 2 - Ottawa Senators 5
Tidbits
-FINALLY!: At the 14:09 mark of the third period the heavens finally opened for Mark Jankowski. The Flames centre scored his first goal of the season, making it the first time he found the back of the net since game 82 of last season.
-Slump Busters: The Flames fell to an Ottawa team that had lost their previous 9 games yesterday. This is the second time this season Calgary has been generous in helping the win deficient this season. Montreal had dropped 8 of 9 before shutting the Flames out 2-0.
-Solid Ward: Despite an ugly loss on Saturday, Geoff Ward cruises into the All Star break with a winning record. The Flames interim coach has a record of 14-7-1 since taking over the team on November 29th after Bill Peters resigned.
