The Morning After
Calgary Flames 2 - Minnesota Wild 1
Tidbits
-Mony’s Moving On Up: Sean Monahan had the primary assist on Johnny Gaudreau’s second period goal giving him his 35th point and 20th assist of the season. That point moved him into a tie for 14th place all time with Calgary in points (398) with Paul Reinhart.
-Three In A Row: Cam Talbot got the call last night and played superbly between the pipes. His 42 save performance gave the Ontario native his third straight victory. The last time Talbot won three in a row was from October 13th to October 18th of 2018 while he was member of the Edmonton Oilers.
-Winning The Series: The Flames 2-1 victory meant they took the season series from the Wild (2-1-0) for 2019-20. This is the third time in five years the Flames have accomplished that which is a fest in itself. Prior to that they had dropped four straight regular season series against the Wild (2013-2016).
