The Flames host their second preseason game tonight, this time against the San Jose Sharks.

The Flames will hit the ice tonight to take on the San Jose Sharks in their third game of the preseason. Calgary is 1-0-1 after splitting with the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. The Sharks meanwhile are 0-1-0 after dropping a 4-3 decision to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night at SAP Center.
Calgary was a true split squad on Monday with the big guns playing at home and losing, while the “B” squad went to Victoria BC and hung 4 goals on what was supposed to be Vancouver’s better team. Tonight the lineup will feature much more variety as the Flames are really going to mix it up. David Rittich and Cam Talbot will get the night off as Jon Gillies will get the chance to show his skills between the pipes for the first time this preseason.
As for the rest of the team, Dillon Dube will make the jump to the top line, skating with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Dube has had a very good late summer campaign and he’s earned the chance to skate with Calgary’s top players. Here’s what the rest of Calgary’s mismatched lines look like:
