The Flames are reaching a major milestone this season and they are celebrating with a special logo. The Flames and the City of Calgary will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and unlike married couples who get jewelry or cars or go out dinner, the Flames and Calgary are getting a logo.....

It appears this will be the logo at centre ice this season at the Saddledome, but no word on whether this will appear on the 2019-20 jerseys as a patch. If you want to fuel the fires of speculation, the color scheme and number font is very close (OK, it’s the exact same) to the jerseys the Flames wore for their most successful years. Does this mean that retro red and retro white are coming back sooner than later? Speculate on folks, but for now, this is the Flames 40th Anniversary logo for 2020.
