#17- Adam Ruzicka

Position: Centre/Forward

Age: 20

Team: Sudbury Wolves (OHL)

Drafted: 2017, Round 4 #109

Last Year Ranking: 21

Adam Ruzicka moved up a few slots in our Top 25 this year, going from #21 to #17. The 20 year old forward had a solid season in the OHL last year with both the Sarnia Sting and the Sudbury Wolves. While with Sarnia, Ruzicka played in 35 games and had 11 goals and 26 assists. After moving on to the Wolves he saw his production increase and did it in five fewer games. In 30 games with Sudbury Ruzicka scored 24 goals and had 17 assists, a noticeable increase in his offensive production. He did see some time on the international stage as well, playing in five games with Slovakia’s U20 team and collecting three points.

Besides offering some scoring prowess, Adam Ruzicka offers the Flames some size. The Slovakian native stands at 6’4” and clocks in at 203 lbs. He’s under contract until 2021-22 and will most likely spend 2019-20 in Stockton with the Heat. By all accounts Adam Ruzicka is a Flames prospect that could make a big impact if and when he gets to the NHL.
