With free agency set to begin on Monday two long rumored transactions are allegedly going to take place according to TSN.
The Flames are the preferred landing spot for former Edmonton and Philadelphia goalie Cam Talbot. Talbot went 1-2-0 in his brief time with the Flyers last year after playing 31 games for the Oilers and compiling a 10-15-3 record in 2018-19.
Mike Smith is reportedly going to sign with Edmonton after spending the last two seasons in Calgary. Smith has been a controversial keeper in Calgary from the standpoint of his lack of consistency. Over the last two years Mike Smith put together a 48-38-8 record while with the Flames.
Monday should be a very busy day for the Flames, so keep it here for all of Calgary's free agent actions!
Veteran goalie Mike Smith has chosen the #Oilers. He’s more or less trading places with Cam Talbot, who as we hinted on Monday, is heading to the #Flames.
