-Third Time’s A Charm: Sean Monahan scored his 30th goal of the season last against the Wild making it the 3rd time in his young career that he’s reached the 30 goal plateau.
-Jersey Retirement Blues: Calgary has retired three jersey numbers and they are now 1-1-1 on those nights. Calgary defeated the Whalers 5-4 the night they retired Lanny McDonald’s #9. They lost to the Blackhawks 3-2 in a shootout the night they retired Mike Vernon’s #30 and last night they fell 4-2 to the Wild when retiring Jarome Iginla’s #12.
-All Is Not Lost: Despite the loss Calgary is still up top in the West and Pacific. They hold a five point lead over the Sharks in both the division and conference.
