Calgary Flames 9 - NJ Devils 4
Tidbits
-Career Highs: Johnny Gaudreau was stuck on 30 goals for what seemed like forever, but he smashed that last night. Gaudreau scored three times and had three assists setting new career highs for goals and points with 33 and 90 each.
-Speaking Of Gaudreau: His six points in a game is the first time that has happened for a Flames player in 25 years, Al MacInnis was the last player to accomplish that feat.
-We Have A First: Gaudreau’s penalty shot marker at 1:01 of the third period was Calgary’s first penalty shot goal on the season.
-We’ve Got Another First: Oscar Fantenberg collected an assist on Matthew Tkachuk’s 30th goal of the season giving the Flames trade deadline prize his first point with the Flames.
