Despite the Kings being in 29th place overall, the Flames have yet to beat them this season. The Flames previously fell 4-3 in overtime to LA in Calgary on October 8th, and then again in LA on October 19th by a 4-1 score.
Since assuming the head coaching interim role on November 27th in Buffalo, the Flames have gone 3-0 under Geoff Ward, and are currently on their first 3+ game winning streak this season. The team bent but did not break in Thursday’s home return against Buffalo, winning 4-3.
