Calgary Flames Make Two Roster Moves

The Stockton Heat will be getting two players, potentially, as a result of Calgary roster moves.

This afternoon the Calgary Flames announced that they have made two roster moves to get their bench to 22 players. Zac Rinaldo was sent to Stockton this afternoon in one of the moves. Rinaldo had been playing very in recent weeks, collecting 3 points in a two game stretch against the Kings and Coyotes. Still, with Sam Bennett back in the lineup someone was going to be made expendable and Rinaldo ended up being the odd man out. He has three points and 19 PIM in five regular season games with the Calgary Flames this season.

The other roster move by the Flames today was them putting Austin Czarnik on waivers with the purpose of him clearing to continue conditioning and getting ice time in Stockton. The move signals that he’s not quite ready to hit the ice with the Flames and needs a little more work after coming back from injury earlier this month. In eight games so far this season Czarnik has two goals and one assist.
