Flames Coach Bill Peters Accused Of Using Racial Slur

Details are still emerging so we will keep it just to the facts and info being released, but Calgary Flames coach Bill Peters has been accused of using racial slurs against former Flames player Akim Aliu. The allegations didn’t come from Peters with Calgary, but from his time coaching Aliu in the minors. Here’s the Tweet from Aliu that is in question:

The Flames received word of this during the game and GM Brad Treliving addressed the media after the game:

This is a fluid situation and the Flames will most likely address the media tomorrow after they speak with Peters. Keep it here for any and all updates regarding this situation.
