Mark: Calgary Flames 1 – Colorado Avalanche 4

Keeping on that negative track I’m going with the Avalanche tonight. Calgary can’t seem to do anything right and the Avalanche are rolling. Calgary loses for the 5th time in a row.

Michael: Calgary Flames 3 – Colorado Avalanche 2 (SO)

Calgary’s new look forward core will pop for an early goal and grab a 1-0 lead, but Colorado will score the next two, meaning Calgary will be once again forced to tie it in the third. Overtime solves nothing and the Flames continue their early season success in the stupid shootout. Look for Joonas Donskoi to score at least once tonight as he loves playing Calgary. For the Flames I see someone scoring their first goal of the year tonight.

Maddie: Calgary Flames 2 – Colorado Avalanche 1

I tried optimism before Sunday’s game and it burned me pretty badly, but I’m sort of almost trying it again? Realistically, I think the Avalanche win this one, but the Flames did just call up Zac Rinaldo who is not very good. But! The universe does seem to like rewarding moves like that and tricking teams into thinking they actually work. So yeah, the Flames win this one.
