NHL Standings

Is Vegas the new Anaheim? The Flames have dropped all five games they’ve played when visiting Sin City since the Golden Knights have come into the league and it hasn’t been pretty. The Flames have already dropped one game in Vegas so far this season, a 6-2 setback on October 12th and they’ve been outscored 21-6 in all five trips to T-Mobil Arena. That’s not good.

What is POSSIBLY in Calgary’s favor is Vegas is reeling right now. After starting out strong, the wheels have come off the bus for the Golden Knights. Vegas has dropped five straight and seven of their last nine, including three by way of overtime. The schedule makers aren’t exactly helping Vegas either as after the Flames leave town the Golden Knights have to run through a gauntlet of Toronto, San Jose, Edmonton, Dallas, Nashville and Arizona before the month ends.

Calgary has only had back to back games two other times this season and they’re 1-1 on the back end with 4-2 loss to Washington and a 2-1 win over Anaheim.
